Moondance Gondolas is the only company in Virginia Beach that offers a full-service Venetian Gondola cruise. They wanted to market their business through an online presence to make visitors and locals more aware of their service.

The Solution

Eyepinch designed and programmed a unique site tailored for the business of Moondance Gondolas.

We started by providing a professional design that met the vision of the owner. We then added a photo gallery which not only provided a glimpse into the overall experience, but allowed customers to share their experience with friends and family, as well. The site then provided a list of tours along with a streamlined and secure checkout experience to allow visitors to take immediate action and book a tour of their own. An added bonus from this was that visitors could leave requests for the Moondance Gondolas staff as they were checking out to make their excursion even more memorable.

Moondance Gondolas was also using paper to manage the booked tours. We built for them a booking engine complete with scheduling, reservations, and excursion management. As their business grew, they were able to add or remove boats, create different types of excursions (Engagement, Anniversary, Special Events, etc.) and manage upgrades such as food or beverage types. They were able to review past order history, future order history and be alerted when a person had booked an excursion. They were also able to avoid schedule conflicts because the system wouldn't allow a reservation if no slots were empty.

Moondance Gondolas is almost complete with their second full year on the online booking system. We are very proud of the custom tailored solution we provided for them and truly appreciate the unique service they offer to our great city of Virginia Beach.
