[541 5] Advertising Services - Services provided under this SIN will promote public awareness of an agency's mission and initiatives, enable public understanding of complex technical and social issues, disseminate information to industry and consumer advocacy groups and engage in recruitment campaigns. Services include, but are not limited to the following components:

[514 3] Web Based Marketing Services (Small Business Set-Aside) - Develop strategies for an agency to provide the maximum use of their Internet capabilities. Typical tasks may involve the consultation, development and implementation of the following web based tasks:
Website design and maintenance services Search engine development E-mail marketing Interactive marketing Web based training Web casting Video conferencing via the web Section 508 compliance, including captioning services On-Line media management Related activities to web based marketing services
Media will also be provided in a format that is compatible with the ordering agency's software requirements. Continual web site updates and maintenance may also be required.
[541 5] Integrated Marketing Services - This SIN will be used to offer a complete solution that integrates various services found under the other SINs. Services required under this SIN may include the creation of comprehensive solutions using strategically targeted marketing plans that include full service execution of media planning and creative multimedia campaigns. These comprehensive solutions include services available separately under: 541-1 Advertising, 541-2 Public Relations, 541-3 Web Based Marketing, and 541-4 Specialized Marketing. Contractors must have the capabilities to provide services identified within all Special Item Numbers.
NOTE: SIN 541-5 may not be used to fulfill individual requirements that are covered separately by other SINs in this schedule. SIN 541-5 may only be used to fulfill comprehensive agency requirements that span multiple service offerings from the schedule. 541 99 Introduction of New Services - Services under this SIN may include a new or improved marketing, advertising, or PR service that has the potential to provide a more economical or efficient means for Federal Agencies to accomplish their mission within the general scope of the Schedule.

[541 4F] Commercial Art and Graphic Design Services (Small Business Set-Aside) - Commercial art, graphic design, and special effects that educate the consumer market about a product or service, may be required along with updating, rewriting, and/or editing materials. [382 1] Translation Services - Services include the translation of written, electronic and multi-media material to and from English and native Foreign languages. Materials include but are not limited to: Business, Legal, Medical, Technical, Documents, Braille, Software, Web site localization for Internet and Intranet, Video subtitling, captioning, and Transcriptions for Title III Monitoring. Client consultation and Project management services include translation formatting, proofreading, text adaptation, editing, graphic design, and desktop publishing.

[C 7010] IT Equipment System Configuration - SUBJECT TO COOPERATIVE PURCHASING - Note-a group of general-purpose analog, digital, or hybrid electronic or electromechanical devices that are interconnected to operate as a system. Frequently referred to as an IT system, although the term "system" is not considered definitive. Includes an assembly of devices consisting of a central processing unit (CPU) and the necessary input/output devices, accessorial devices, analog measurement devices, software and/or firmware required to perform the desired objectives. Also includes subassemblies and units in which input/output devices, CPUs, and/or accessorial devices or components are incorporated into a single assembly or unit. [C 7025] IT input/output and Storage Devices - SUBJECT TO COOPERATIVE PURCHASING - This class includes devices used to control and transfer information to and from a Computer (as modified).The input device is used for transferring data and instructions into a computer. The output device is used to transfer results of processing by the computer to IT peripheral devices. Input/output devices combine the above functions in the same device. This class includes printers, display units, disk drive units (magnetic, optical and floptical), tape drive units, terminals, data entry devices and transfer units. [C 7030] IT Software - SUBJECT TO COOPERATIVE PURCHASING - Note-Software is a series of instructions or statements in a form acceptable to a CPU, designed to cause the ITE configuration to execute an operation or operations; or a collection of data in a form capable of being processed and operated on by a computer. Includes System programs, such as operating systems, assemblers, compilers, executive routines, interpreters, translators; utility programs, such as sort/merge programs, media conversion, maintenance diagnostic programs; and application programs, such as payroll, inventory control, and engineering analysis programs. Web design is a process of conceptualization, planning, modeling, and execution of electronic media delivery via Internet in the form of Markup language suitable for interpretation by Web browser and display as Graphical user interface (GUI).
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own websites accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data centre.
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results, or the higher it "ranks", the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.
Electronic commerce, commonly known as e-commerce or eCommerce, consists of the buying and selling of products or services over electronic systems such as the Internet and other computer networks. A computer virus is a computer program that can copy itself and infect a computer without permission or knowledge of the user. A Trojan horse is a program that installs malicious software while under the guise of doing something else. Though not limited in their payload, Trojan horses are more notorious for installing backdoor programs which allow unauthorized non permissible remote access to the victim's machine by unwanted parties - normally with malicious intentions.
Spyware is computer software that is installed surreptitiously on a personal computer to intercept or take partial control over the user's interaction with the computer, without the user's informed consent.
Antivirus software consists of computer programs that attempt to identify, thwart and eliminate computer viruses and other malicious software (malware).
A firewall is a hardware or software device which is configured to permit, deny, or proxy data through a computer network which has different levels of trust.
Spyware programs are computer programs that attempt to identify, thwart and eliminate spyware.
The private sector, in economics, is that part of the economy which is both run for profit and is not controlled by the state. By contrast, enterprises that are part of the state are part of the public sector; private, non-profit organizations are regarded as part of the voluntary sector.
Redundancy, in general terms, refers to the quality or state of being redundant, that is: exceeding what is necessary or normal; or duplication. This can have a negative connotation, especially in rhetoric: superfluous or repetitive; or a positive implication, especially in engineering: serving as a duplicate for preventing failure of an entire system.
A dedicated hosting service, dedicated server, or managed hosting service is a type of Internet hosting where the client leases an entire server not shared with anyone. This is more flexible than shared hosting, as organizations have full control over the server(s), including choice of operating system, hardware, etc. Server administration can usually be provided by the hosting company as an add-on service. In some cases a dedicated server can offer less overhead and a larger return on investment. Dedicated servers are most often housed in data centers, similar to colocation facilities, providing redundant power sources and HVAC systems. In contrast to colocation, the server hardware is owned by the provider and in some cases they will provide support for your operating system or applications.
FTP or File Transfer Protocol is used to transfer data from one computer to another over the Internet, or through a network.
PHP is a reflective programming language originally designed for producing dynamic web pages. PHP is used mainly in server-side scripting, but can be used from a command line interface or in standalone graphical applications. Textual User Interfaces can also be created using ncurses. PHP is a recursive acronym for "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor".
Java is a programming language originally developed by Sun Microsystems and released in 1995. The language derives much of its syntax from C and C++ but has a simpler object model and fewer low-level facilities. Java applications are typically compiled to bytecode which can run on any Java virtual machine regardless of computer architecture. Java now forms the core of Sun's Java platform.
ASP.NET is a web application framework marketed by Microsoft that programmers can use to build dynamic web sites, web applications and XML web services. It is part of Microsoft's .NET platform and is the successor to Microsoft's Active Server Pages (ASP) technology.
HTML, short for Hypertext Markup Language, is the predominant markup language for web pages. It provides a means to describe the structure of text-based information in a document by denoting certain text as headings, paragraphs, lists, and so on and to supplement that text with interactive forms, embedded images, and other objects.
Microsoft Office Access, previously known as Microsoft Access, is a relational database management system from Microsoft which combines the relational Microsoft Jet Database Engine with a graphical user interface.
An intranet is a private computer network that uses Internet protocols, network connectivity to securely share part of an organization's information or operations with its employees.
An extranet is a private network that uses Internet protocols, network connectivity, and possibly the public telecommunication system to securely share part of an organization's information or operations with suppliers, vendors, partners, customers or other businesses. An extranet can be viewed as part of a company's Intranet that is extended to users outside the company (e.g.: normally over the Internet).
Domain Name System (DNS) associates various sorts of information with so-called domain names; most importantly, it serves as the "phone book" for the Internet by translating human-readable computer hostnames into the IP addresses that networking equipment needs for delivering information.
Perl is a dynamic programming language created by Larry Wall and first released in 1987. Perl borrows features from a variety of other languages including C, shell scripting (sh), AWK, sed and Lisp.
Microsoft FrontPage is a WYSIWYG HTML editor and web site administration tool from Microsoft for the Microsoft Windows line of operating systems.
Adobe Flash, or simply Flash, refers to both the Adobe Flash Player, and to the Adobe Flash Professional multimedia authoring program. Adobe Flash Professional is used to create content for the Adobe Engagement Platform (such as web applications, games and movies, and content for mobile phones and other embedded devices).
Universal Serial Bus (USB) is a serial bus standard to interface devices. A major component in the legacy-free PC, USB was designed to allow peripherals to be connected using a single standardised interface socket, to improve plug-and-play capabilities by allowing devices to be connected and disconnected without rebooting the computer (hot swapping).
